From only R5.70 a month, you can have your entire hosting account, including databases and emails, backed up daily and stored safely on our network of backup servers in Switzerland.
Understanding Backups
Every day, we make a complete backup of every server on our network. These backups are just one of many steps we take to ensure the integrity and safety of your site’s data. However, they can only be used to restore the entire server, should disaster strike. They cannot be used to restore files or databases in your account, should you accidentally delete them.
Our automated backups cost R11.40 a month for one account. This is a complete backup of your entire hosting account, including files, databases and emails. Backups are rotated every week, so that there are always 7 backups spanning the past 7 days, to choose from.
If you want to have 2 or more accounts backed up, then the price drops to R5.70 per account. We’ve kept the price as low as possible, to encourage you to make use of this service.
While you might never need to use the backup, it is important to understand that should you accidentally click the wrong button and delete a database or file, there is no way for us to restore it unless you have backups enabled for your account.

More frequent backups
If you need backups of your databases made more frequently (a very good idea if you have an online shop or mission-critical database) then we can backup your database more frequently, up to once an hour.
