Have you outgrown shared hosting?

Do you want the ability to scale your server's resources up and down, whenever you need to?
Do you need the control and flexibility provided by a dedicated Server, but without the cost?
Want to be on a self-healing server cloud?

For as little as R140 per month, you can have your own private server on our self-healing cloud, with automatic failover! Your Private Cloud Server can be created, upgraded, downgraded or rebuilt within minutes using our customised templates.

What exactly is a Private Cloud Server?

A Private Cloud Server (PCS) is a Virtual Private Server (VPS) running on Texo's self-healing Cloud, a very large network of powerful servers which is designed from the ground up with redundancy at its core.
A traditional, hardware-based server always has a single point of failure such as a hard drive or a power supply. Our Cloud uses a RAID 10 SAN system, powered by Cisco network hardware, allowing your PCS to be quickly moved to new hardware in the event of a failure.

Your PCS is made up of nodes, with each node comprising these computing resources:

  • 256MB RAM
  • 10GB Storage (diskspace)
  • 250GB Bandwidth (per month)
  • 400MHz CPU

You can create a PCS using as many or as few nodes as you wish, although some templates do have a minimum recommended number of nodes: Magento, for example, will need a minimum of 4 nodes to function at a satisfactory level, and runs best on 5+ nodes. Payment by debit order is mandatory for all PCS accounts.
