All email setup guides

Set up your Texo email in Microsoft Outlook 2013 using a secure IMAP connection.

Your Texo email settings

Replace yourdomain.co.za with your own domain, and use your full email address as the username. The outgoing (SMTP) server is the same as the incoming server.

  • Incoming server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.co.za · port 993 · SSL.
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.za · port 465 · SSL.
  • Username: your full email address  ·  Password: your email account password.

Step by step

  1. Open Outlook, click the File menu, then Add Account. File menu Add Account
  2. On Auto Account Setup, select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next. Auto Account Setup, manual
  3. Choose POP or IMAP and click Next. Choose POP or IMAP
  4. Enter your name and full email address. Set Account Type to IMAP, and set both the incoming and outgoing server to mail.yourdomain.co.za. Use your full email address as the user name and enter your password. Then click More Settings. POP and IMAP Account Settings for Texo
  5. On the Outgoing Server tab, tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Outgoing Server authentication
  6. On the Advanced tab, set the incoming (IMAP) port to 993 with SSL and the outgoing (SMTP) port to 465 with SSL, then click OK. Advanced ports and SSL
  7. Click Next — Outlook tests the account — then click Finish. Test Account Settings complete

If Outlook can't connect, double-check the password and that both servers use SSL on the ports above, then submit a support ticket and we'll help.
