How to set up email in Windows 10 Mail

All email setup guides

Add your Texo email to the Mail app in Windows 10 using a secure IMAP connection.

Your Texo email settings

Replace yourdomain.co.za with your own domain, and use your full email address as the username. The outgoing (SMTP) server is the same as the incoming server.

  • Incoming server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.co.za · port 993 · SSL/TLS.
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.za · port 465 · SSL/TLS · authentication required.
  • Username: your full email address  ·  Password: your email account password.

Step by step

  1. Open Mail and click Add account (or go to Settings → Manage accounts → Add account). Accounts, Add account
  2. Choose Other account (POP, IMAP). Choose Other account
  3. Enter your full email address and password, then click Sign-in. Email and password
  4. Windows can't auto-detect a custom domain, so click Advanced to enter the settings yourself. Click Advanced
  5. Fill in the form: an Account name (any label you like), your name, Incoming email server mail.yourdomain.co.za, Account type IMAP4, your full email address as the User name, and your password. Set the Outgoing (SMTP) email server to mail.yourdomain.co.za and tick all four boxes (outgoing server requires authentication, use the same user name and password, require SSL for incoming and for outgoing). Then click Sign-in. Internet email account settings for Texo
  6. You'll see All done! — click Done. All done

Once saved, send yourself a test email to confirm it works. If anything won't connect, double-check the password and that both servers use SSL on the ports above, then submit a support ticket and we'll help.
