Set up email in macOS Mail

Email setup

Set up email in macOS Mail

Sierra · High Sierra · Mojave · Catalina · Big Sur · Monterey · Ventura — the steps are the same on every version.

All email setup guides

Add your Texo email to the Mail app on macOS. The setup is identical across every recent version of macOS, so these steps work whichever one you're on.

Your Texo email settings

Replace yourdomain.co.za with your own domain, and use your full email address as the username. The outgoing (SMTP) server is the same as the incoming server.

  • Incoming server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.co.za · port 993 · SSL/TLS.
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.za · port 465 · SSL/TLS · authentication required.
  • Username: your full email address  ·  Password: your email account password.

Step by step

  1. In Mail, click the Mail menu and choose Add Account… Mail menu, Add Account
  2. Select Other Mail Account… and click Continue. Choose Other Mail Account
  3. Enter your name, full email address and password, then click Sign In. Name, email and password
  4. Set Account Type to IMAP, and both the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server to mail.yourdomain.co.za. Use your full email address as the user name, then click Sign In. macOS uses SSL automatically (IMAP 993, SMTP 465). Server settings for Texo
  5. Tick the apps you want to use (Mail) and click Done. Choose apps, Done

Once saved, send yourself a test email to confirm it works. If anything won't connect, double-check the password and that both servers use SSL on the ports above, then submit a support ticket and we'll help.
