You change an email account password in cPanel under Email Accounts. That password is what you use for webmail and for apps like Outlook, Apple Mail or Gmail — it is not the same as your Texo client area login, and it is usually not the same as your main cPanel password.
1. Log in to cPanel
Use either method:
- Client area: log in at welcome.texo.co.za/login → Services → My Services → Login to cPanel next to the correct hosting package.
- Direct: open https://cpanel.yourdomain.co.za (or https://yourdomain.co.za/cpanel) and sign in with your cPanel username and password.
Need more detail? See How to login to your cPanel.
2. Open Email Accounts
- In cPanel, find the Email section (you can use the search box at the top and type Email Accounts).
- Click Email Accounts.
- Find the mailbox you want to change (for example [email protected]).
- Click Manage next to that address.
3. Set a new password
- On the manage screen, find the Security / password section.
- Enter a new password (or use Generate for a strong one). Use a unique password you don’t reuse elsewhere.
- Click Update Email Settings (or Save) to apply it.
Store the new password somewhere safe. Anyone who uses that mailbox will need it.
4. Update your devices and apps
After you change the password, every place that still has the old password will stop working until you update it:
- Phones and tablets (iPhone, Android, Outlook mobile, Gmail app)
- Desktop mail apps (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Windows Mail)
- Gmail “Send mail as” / POP or IMAP import, if you connected the account there
Open each account’s settings and enter the new email password. Server names and ports do not change — only the password. Setup steps for common apps are in the email setup guides.
Optional: change password from webmail
If you can already open webmail, some accounts can also change their password under Settings → Password (or similar) in Roundcube. If that option is missing, use cPanel as above.
Tips
- Changing one email address does not change other addresses on the same hosting account — each mailbox has its own password.
- If you only wanted a new client area password, use the “Forgot password” link at welcome.texo.co.za/login instead.
- If login fails after a change, double-check you used the full email address as the username and that the new password was saved in cPanel.
